Joe Adame, Founder, SIOR, CCIM

Joe Adame’s story is deeply rooted in Corpus Christi, Texas, where he was born and raised alongside his wife Kathy. Together, they raised their three sons, Chris, Mark, and Jarret, all of whom have followed in their father’s footsteps in the real estate industry.

Joe’s journey in real estate began after graduating from Corpus Christi Academy in 1963 and earning a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Sam Houston State University in 1968. In 1974, he founded Joe Adame & Associates, Inc., a distinguished full-service commercial industrial real estate brokerage firm that continues to set the standard in South Texas.

Throughout his career, Joe has been an active member of esteemed professional organizations such as the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) and the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). He has also contributed significantly to the real estate community, serving as Past Chairman of the Commercial Investment Division of the Texas Association of Realtors and as an advisory board member of the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University.

Beyond his professional achievements, Joe is deeply committed to leadership and community service. He played a pivotal role in establishing the first Leadership Prayer Breakfast for Corpus Christi in 1987 and has been a staunch supporter of ecumenical ministries in South Texas. Certified as a Leadership Life Coach by the John Maxwell Leadership Training, Joe’s mentorship extends far beyond the realm of real estate.

Joe’s love for baseball is as strong as his commitment to leadership. He played a key role in bringing Minor League Baseball to Corpus Christi while serving as past chairman of the Corpus Christi Economic Development Corporation. Recognized for his outstanding contributions, Joe was inducted into the Corpus Christi Business Hall of Fame in 2006.

In 2009, Joe made history by becoming the first Hispanic Mayor of Corpus Christi, serving two terms. His tenure was marked by significant economic achievements, including securing several billion-dollar investments in the Corpus Christi area.

Joe’s dedication to service extends to his support for the military community, earning him the prestigious Order of Saint Michael Award for Army Aviation in 2012. Additionally, he has served as the Entrepreneur in Residence for the Coastal Bend Innovation Center at Texas A&M Corpus Christi, earning him the esteemed Russell Kirkland Lector designation in 2006.

Today, Joe finds solace as a “rancher” on his family ranch in Falls City, Texas, alongside Kathy. He cherishes spending time outdoors, enjoying the company of family, playing golf, and tending to ranch projects with his faithful companion, Golden Retriever, Goldie.
